ESL Podcast Club
Hello my lovely students,
Over the weekend I had an idea. I thought I'd send you a message to explain it to you.
The internet and Mp3 players have changed the way we listen to music, videos, radio, etc... They have also become a great tool for learning English! There are many great podcasts on the internet. You should check them out, it's a great way to practice listening! But that is not my idea.
My idea is starting a Podcasting Club. This club would not meet at Jeju ESL academy. It would be outside of class time. What I want to do is find a group of students who would like to make a Podcast show (like a radio show) in English.
What would our show be about? Well, I think it is up to you to decide. It can be about anything you like. First we would decide on the idea, then write the show. Then we will record the show together.
Why should I help? For those people who are really interested in speaking English well, this kind of practice is great! You will learn to write basic shows and how to speak clearly so that other people can understand you easily. Other people will be able to listen to you, and practice their English too! PLUS, you get to meet with ME! ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
These meetings will happen on the weekends (maybe 2 times a month). It is something that I am volunteering to help with. So, if you are interested in making a Podcast (like an internet radio show) in English, please tell me!

Bridge to Terabithia Review
I will talk about the book name Bridge to Terabithia. The heros in this book are imaginative. Many people can imagine to read this book. In this book, there are two characters. One is Jess and the other is Leslie. Now I will talk about this book.
First, Jess never imagine about new world. One day a girl's mother changed from her school to Jess's school. The transfer student's name is Leslie. One day in school, They had a homework. And Leslie wrote about a ocean. Jess was impressed by her story. Because of her story, Jess and Leslie can imagine their own world. They thought a forest near their house was their new world. And they always go there together. But one day Jess go to a museum only with his teacher. So Leslie go to their world alone. She always go there by a rope. But the rope was old and Leslie died. Jess was sad to hear her death. And he thought Leslie will be happy, if he take her sister to their world. So he decieded to take his sister to their world. But he need to make a bridge. So he took some wood from Leslie's house and made it. And he appoint his sister to a princess of their world. It is a happy ending.
I thought Lesile is as same as John teacher who is the hero of The Dead poets society. They look something in a different sight. In Korea, there are a lot of students. But all of them are slaves of prejudice. I wish many Korean students could imagine and look something in a different sight.

Die hard 4.0 Review by 김세훈 (Kim Sae Hoon)
I'd like to recommend this move because it gives some instructions to our and fantastic actions. Many children and adults like this movie. Because of Bruise's cool fighting actions.The movie can be divided in to 4 parts. Part one is started with the scene Jone Mclain and hacker(I don't know his name). In the part two, Hacker named Thomas(or Tom. I don't know his name exactly) started attacks to Jone Mclain to kill the hacker who follow the Mclain. In part three, Thomas(or Tom) taking the mclain's daughter away forcibly. So Mclain decided to save his daughter. Part four is happy ending. Thomas(or Tom) was killed by jone. And everything is okayIn my opinion, Bruise(who is Mclain) wants to die while he is taking a film. Because his actions are too hard to do. If I'm a bruise, I will give up before taking a film. Some actions were seem really cool. Maybe there are many NG scenes.This movie gives instruction about family. When Mclain decided to save her daughter, he gives a deep emotion to me. How wonderful!In next year, I will wait for releasing a Die hard 5.0 ( or not)

1408 Review By 강효주(Kang Hyo ju)
I'd like to recommend this movie. Because it has a tentative settlement. It means we have to imagine. Some people who like to see a horror movies are enjoy seeing it.
This movie is about the room whose number is 1408. Michael is the hero whose job is a writer. Though he never believed about the soul, his books were formed with horrible things. One day he got a letter. It says "Don't enter 1408". But he ignored it and entered the room. When he went into the room, there was nothing horrible. But it gave a warning to him in succession. Then he could feel something goes wrong. And he saw illusions continuously. He saw a woman who killed herself, his wife's illusion, his dead daughter and so on. He wanted to get out of the room. And he called to his wife with his notebook. But wife says there is no one in the 1408. And he tried to slip out. But it was failed. And then he decided to break the picture. When he went up to the picture, the sea water ran out of it. And he lost his senses. After a while he woke up in the hospital. He felt it was a dream. And he wrote about a 1408 and went to the post office. But the clerks broke the wall and 1408 was appear. And the bell was ringing. When he received a call a clerk says "Do you want to check-out?", but he knew what is check-out meant. And he put down the telephone. 1408 made him crazy. Because of it he decided to burn the 1408. And he fired up. The 1408 was burnt down. He was rescued by rescue worker. And he could go to his house. Then he arranged his stuffs. When he did it he could find his recorder. And he turned it on. When he played it, he was able to hear his dead daughter's voice and surprised about it.
It remained unsettled. I think 1408's conclusion is depending on the people who see 1408's thinking. I thought he believe about the soul. In the end of the movie he smiled. It means his thought was glaringly erroneous and lost the battle with 1408. And I think the title 1408 means unlucky and fear. we can make 13 adding the title's numbers(1+4+0+8=13). In foreign countries 13 is unlucky number. Because of the title's name is 1408, we are easily frightened.
It is horror but sometimes we can feel father's love. It is good to see with friends or family. And I really recommend it.

I will show you a movie. the name is Transformers.It's a very interesting movie. I saw it on the computer. My brother saw it too.
When the car is transform into robot. It is a weird thing. There is a two kind of
robots. One thing is Autobots and the other thing is Decepticon. Autobots are have
to protect human. But Decepticons are have to find cube. The cube has a very
strong power. when the cube was found by Decepticon, all the machanics and cars
transform into robot.I will tell you the story. The Sam is a hero in this movie.
the sam buy the nice car. But the car is run away. Sam chase the car and
Sam saw a car is transform to robot. And Sam protect the cube with Autobots.
And Sam save the earth. This movie tell us friendship. I think the Autobots
are very impressive. Because they said "There is no win without sacrifice"

Die hard 4.0 Review by 김세훈 (Kim Saye Hoon)
I'd like to recommend this move because it gives some instructions to our and fantastic actions. Many children and adults like this movie. Because of Bruise's cool fighting actions.

This movie gives instruction about family. When Mclain decided to save her daughter, he gives a deep emotion to me. How wonderful!
In next year, I will wait for releasing a Die hard 5.0 ( or not)
